These South African (profiled below) women are all heroes and the kinds of humans we should all look up to and strive to be more like. Before Coronavirus struck their lives, they were already living below the poverty line but still selflessly helping countless numbers of orphans, seniors and other vulnerable people from their respective communities.  As the virus started to take hold of their areas, the situation became even more dire. Their mission and life's work of serving the severely disadvantaged began to feel untenable.  These uncertain times means an uncertain future for all of us, but especially for so many women likes these and the people and communities they've been caring for. 

 

My inspiring godmother, Loren, has been traveling to and working in South Africa for years with these incredible women and felt compelled to do something. So she set up an organization, CHILDREN FOR CHANGING LIVES, which supports these heroic women directly. Our goal is to raise $800 every month for a year.
